The culminating shows of the 2009-2010 season will be Flight Path in the McIlroy Gallery and Owen Mundy's The Americans.
Flight Path is a themed invitational exhibition in which artists will present interpretations, both literal and abstract, of flight.
Owen Mundy's The Americans will feature his Military Family Tree, an expanding project that memorializes family members who have served in the US Armed Forces, and Through a Glass Darkly, a film installation addressing military conflict and the natural landscape, among other works. Mundy has created a new installation for his exhibition at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center, an interactive photo booth that furthers his exploration of military portraiture and will allow visitors to create portraits of themselves.
