The renowned NWF State College SOUNDSATIONS Showchoir performs its popular annual Sunday afternoon "Snowbirds" concert on February 19 at 2:00 pm in the Mainstage Theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center. The show is a fundraiser for scholarships and arts programs and is sponsored annually by the Destin Snowbirds Club. Advance tickets are available through the Destin Snowbirds Club for $10 in advance or tickets may be purchased at the door starting at 1:00 pm the day of the show for the same price. Seating for this event is general admission/open seating with first-come selection of all seats.

New this year the show has been expanded to also include the college’s Madrigal Singers, Belle Voci Women’s Ensemble and Raider Rhythms dance team for rousing afternoon of music, song and dance. The musical variety show is glittering song and dance extravaganza of favorite pop tunes and classics that will have you singing in your seats, tapping your toes, and is sure to send you out the door with a song in your heart. The college vocal groups are comprised of talented scholarship vocal, instrumental and dance students who are selected by stringent auditions.

Additionally,a special guest appearance at the concert will be the college’s new president Dr. Devin Stephenson, who is a classically trained pianist and will perform two selections on the college’s recently restored Steinway grand piano.

The Mattie Kelly Arts Center is located on the Niceville campus of Northwest Florida State College at 100 College Boulevard.

The Destin Snowbirds Club has sponsored the annual afternoon concert in February for more than 20 years and through the concert the club has donated more than $150,000 to the college in support of fine and performing arts programs.
