7/30/2013 - A stellar season of eight (8) nationally touring Broadway and Artist shows will appear for the 2013-14 season at the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center, located on the Niceville campus of Northwest Florida State College.

A variety of ticket purchase options go August 12-30, including a new priority window for large groups. Each of the national shows appears for one performance only at 7:30 p.m. in the 1,650 seat, state-of-the-art performance venue that is the cultural gem of the Emerald Coast. Individual ticket prices vary from $25 to $49 based on the show.

The national season starts October 12 with the live concert extravaganza "This Is The '60s," featuring the timeless music of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Supremes, Monkeys, Cream, Simon & Garfunkel and more. The event celebrates the college’s 50th Anniversary and includes a gala reception prior to the show. The 2013-14 season also includes mega Broadway hits such as "Momma Mia," "The Addams Family," "Hello Dolly!” starring Sally Struthers, and the Tony Award-winning show about the birth of rock 'n roll, "Memphis."

New this season, the Mattie Kelly Arts Center introduces a priority window from August 12-16 for corporate and group sales of 50 or more tickets. The priority window allows large groups to select block seating prior to the start of general ticket sales and receive a $5 per ticket discount.

Group sales during the priority window can be in any combination that equals at least 50 total seats, as long as any single show has at least 10 tickets. For example: 10 seats to “Hello Dolly” and 40 seats “Momma Mia.” Contact Jeanette Shires, Arts Center Director, at (850) 729-6004 for assistance with group sales.

Custom Season Package sales begin August 16 by phone or in-person from the Box Office. Patrons may choose their own selection of five or more national shows to build a custom package and receive a discount off the price of each show. Call (850) 729-6000. Box Office hours are Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Starting Friday, August 30, at 5 p.m., web sales open for individual tickets for all the season’s national touring shows at Phone and in-person sales for individual tickets start immediately after the Labor Day holiday on Tuesday, September 3 at 10 a.m.

Experience the generation that altered everything from hairstyles to human rights with the touring live concert experience "This is the '60s" on October 12. National vocalists perform the timeless music of the 1960s to help celebrate the college’s 50th anniversary. A $50 combo ticket includes a 50th Anniversary Gala reception prior to the show and VIP reserved show seating. Show only seats are $35 each.

The national tour of the global smash hit "Mamma Mia!" appears October 15. Seen by more than 50 million people worldwide, "Mamma Mia!" has premiered in more markets worldwide faster than any other musical in history and is based on the songs of the pop group ABBA. This romantic comedy will delight with the tale of a mother and her daughter - three possible dads - and a walk down the aisle you'll never forget. Hits include "Super Trouper," "Lay All Your Love On Me," "Dancing Queen," "Knowing Me, Knowing You," "Take A Chance On Me" and more. Tickets are $49.

Following a celebrated run on Broadway, Stephen Lang, an award- winning playwright, stage and screen star, appears in "Beyond Glory" on October 28. This brilliant one-man show will keep you spellbound as Lang presents the stories of eight veterans from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam - rendering firsthand accounts of valor which resulted in the nation’s highest military award, the Medal of Honor. Don't miss this moving tribute to our nation's best as presented in a command performance on the floor of Congress. Tickets are $35 each.

The national tour of "The Addams Family" appears November 12 with a delightfully devilish tale that combines the just plain weird with charm, wit and enchantment. Relish the fateful night Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, and her parents, Gomez and Morticia, host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents. Tickets are $49 each.

“Hello Dolly!” appears November 25. Winner of 10 Tony ® Awards, including Best Musical, the show stars Sally Struthers, two-time Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner, in the irresistible musical that has charmed audiences around the world for nearly 50 years. Tickets are $45 each.

A return engagement of magic, illusion and more by one of the world’s best illusionist teams, "Spencer’s Art of Illusion," appears December 14. This national touring event includes special family pricing of $25 adults and $20 for youth age 18 younger.

Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, the national tour of "Bring It On" appears January 23 with explosive dance, aerial stunts and a hilariously universal story about the challenges and unexpected bonds formed through the thrill of extreme competition. “Breathtaking human fireworks” noted The New York Times. Individual tickets are $40.

"Memphis" on February 22 is one of Broadway's newest and hottest national touring shows and was winner of four Tony Awards ®. Inspired by the story of the legendary 1950s DJ Dewey Phillips and the music that became known as "rock 'n' roll," this wildly entertaining show wonderfully captures the spirit of the seminal figures who would go on to change the course of popular music. Tickets are $45 each.

All the 1,650 seats in the mainstage theater at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center are no more than 90 feet from the stage - making every seat "the best seat in the house." All ticket sales include a $2 per ticket Box Office processing fee in addition to the ticket price.

In addition to Broadway and Artist Series events, a slate of national touring Children’s Series shows will be presented in matinee performances to school groups. Individual tickets are available to Children's Series shows on a space available basis for $6 each. Shows include "Teacher from the Black Lagoon," "Charlotte’s Web" and "Mr. Al." The Mattie Kelly Fine and Performing Arts Center is located at 100 College Boulevard East, on the Niceville campus of Northwest Florida State College. The center is easily accessible from Interstate 10, coastal communities via the Mid-Bay Bridge in Destin, or State Highways 85 and 285.
