This year is a landmark for the Northwest Florida Symphony Guild (NFSG) which celebrates its 20th year in bringing the International Food and Wine Tasting Festival to the Emerald Coast. The much anticipated charitable event will be held on Sunday, February 20th at the Emerald Coast Conference Center on Okaloosa Island from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Guests can expect to enjoy food samples from more than twenty-five of the area's finest restaurants and catering services accompanied by over 50 different wines from around the world. Musical entertainment will be provided by guest artists and members of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.

A large selection of items will be available for silent auction bidding including vacation packages, paintings by local artists, gulf and tennis packages, gourmet dinners, gift baskets and much more. Guest will know which items they have won before the close of the Festival.

Tickets are now on sale at: Chan's Wine World and Kitchenique in Destin; Bayou Books in Niceville; Magnolia Grill, Vadegriff Jewelers, and Playground Music at Uptown Station in Fort Walton Beach; The cost is $40 in advance and $50 at the door. For more information about the Festival contact David Crawford at 621-7377 or Jerry Sullivan at 650-5154.

Proceeds from the event provide funding for the Northwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Northwest Florida Junior Youth Orchestra (both groups which operate as part of Northwest Florida State College), as well as funding for the annual performances for all 5th grade pupils in Okaloosa and Walton County by the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra (NFSO), sponsorship of the prestigious Annual Youth Concerto Competition and NFSO Stars of Tomorrow Concert, music scholarships and events to promote fine arts in the region.

The Northwest Florida Symphony Guild is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization chartered to support the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra (NFSO), the region's premiere professional symphony now in its 24th performance season. Guild membership is open to anyone interested in the arts. Guests are encouraged to attend the monthly luncheons at Ft.
